Fr. Dr. Francis Swamy SJ is a Jesuit priest, educator and thought leader whose life’s work has been dedicated to shaping education that forms both the mind and the heart. With over three decades of experience in teaching and academic leadership, he is widely respected for his commitment to holistic, value-based education rooted in the Ignatian tradition.

Beginning his journey as a teacher in 1989, Fr. Swamy has served with distinction as Supervisor, Vice Principal and Principal, offering steady leadership marked by clarity, collaboration and compassion. His approach to education emphasizes personal formation alongside academic excellence, believing that true learning must nurture conscience, character and concern for others.

Academically accomplished, Fr. Swamy holds degrees in Philosophy, Theology, Law, History and Education, and earned his doctorate with research focused on the development of human excellence through integrated formation. His scholarship and administrative experience have enabled him to bridge theory and practice, making education both rigorous and deeply human.

Under his guidance, institutions have adopted innovative and inclusive practices such as mentoring initiatives, teacher empowerment programmes, student wellbeing interventions and learner-centered pedagogies.
